Will the start-up fee be charged despite cancelling my vehicle booking?

No. The start fee is only charged when you start driving or after the first free 5 minutes before you start the engine. The amount of PLN 10 or a one-off daily fee (pre-authorisation), depending on your chosen offer, will be released after cancellation and will increase the balance on your account (pre-authorisation of funds). The blocking of funds does not imply their withdrawal, and their release is not the same as their return to your account, so you will not see any income on your account; however, your account balance will increase by the amount of the blocked pre-authorisation fee.

When can I choose the “For 24h or longer” offer?

The “For 24h or longer” offer is a good solution not only if you are planning a longer route, e.g. to another city, but also if you need a car for a few hours. If I want to have a lower night parking rate, do I have to make my booking after 11:00 p.m.?

It does not matter when you make your booking. A lower parking rate is charged automatically from Monday to Sunday, from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., so when you start your rental before 11:00 p.m., and you start parking after 11:00 p.m., a lower parking rate will be charged.

I locked the car while sitting inside, but after getting off, the driver’s door is opened.

In this situation, you should rent a car again, all the doors will be opened, and then cancel your booking within 5 minutes, in this way you will be able to close the car correctly and your rental will be free of charge.

Where can I terminate my rental and park the car?

“PARKING: You can park vehicles from the Traficar fleet in dedicated car parks marked with a “”P”” in the app. These car parks are dedicated to specific groups of vehicles i.e. Renault Megane E-Tech 100% electric cars or vans or passenger cars. Cars from the Traficar fleet can be parked within the urban paid parking zone, in publicly available spaces, in accordance with traffic rules. The fee for parking in the urban parking zone in the cities where Traficar operates is already included in the price of the service. Parking in dedicated spaces is completely free of charge.

TERMINATING THE RENTAL: Passenger cars, excluding electric cars, can be returned in any city where Traficar operates within the zone marked in the app. Vans must be returned to a dedicated car park, usually in front of hardware shops in the same city from which they were rented. Otherwise, leaving the car anywhere in the Traficar zone in the city of rental costs PLN 49.
Renault Megane E-Tech vehicles must be returned to the exact same location from which they were rented. Vans and electric cars must be returned to the same city from which they were rented.

How can I book a car at Traficar?

To book a vehicle, simply launch the Traficar app on your phone and go to the map view. If you have the geolocation service enabled, the map will zoom in to show your immediate vicinity. On the map, look for the nearest car marked with the car symbol pin, and once you click it you will see the exact location of the car, its fuel level and you will have the option to book the vehicle under the most favourable offer for you. You can also click the navigation icon on the app’s map to quickly find the nearest car (bottom left corner). You can book a car free of charge for 15 minutes. If 15 minutes is not enough, you can extend your booking against payment. The cost of a paid extension of the booking is the same as the cost of parking. Check the current price list here.

How will the fee for using Traficar be collected?

In order to use Traficar cars, you must link a valid payment card with a Visa or Mastercard logo to your account. The travel fees will be pre-authorised (blocked) on an ongoing basis during the rental period. The rules for pre-authorising funds on your payment card can be found here.Remember that you must have internet, telephone and correspondence transactions unlocked and ensure that there are sufficient funds for these types of transactions on your card. Your card should be valid for a minimum of 31 days. You should also pay attention to the daily limits on your card, which can also cause problems with payment collection. Most banks allow you to manage your limits and transactions on their website or in their mobile app. Having an active, linked voucher in the Traficar app in the Promotions – Discounts tab does not exempt you from linking your payment card to the Traficar service. Any blocked funds (pre-authorisations) for rental will be blocked on your linked payment card. The voucher will only be honoured at the end of your rental. Don’t worry, all blocked funds will be released or if the rental amount was more than the value of the voucher we will refund you the difference.

How are fees charged at Traficar?

The following fees apply to the “For as long as you want” offer:

Start fee – This fee is charged after 5 free minutes of opening the Traficar vehicle or when you start the engine.
Fee per kilometre – This fee is charged after each kilometre started.
Parking fee – This fee is only charged if you switch off the car and do not terminate the rental. It does not matter if you have left the car and locked it with your card or if you are sitting inside.

The “For 24h or longer” offer:
Daily fee – The fee is charged for each 24-hour period of rental started.
Fee per kilometre – This fee is charged for each kilometre started.

We pre-authorise funds on your payment card during each rental. The rules for pre-authorising funds at Traficar can be found here.

All fees are in accordance with the current price list, which can be found in the app or on the website here.

I cannot log into my account. I receive the “Invalid login or password” message, what should I do?

This message is displayed if you enter an incorrect account password or an incorrect email address. Please verify that the email address you have entered is correct. You can reset your account password by going to the “Log In” tab in the app and then clicking “I forgot the password”. This message may also appear if you have not yet clicked the activation link we sent you in an email message. If you don’t see the message, check the SPAM folder. The activation link is valid for 24 hours. You can generate a new activation link on the website here by going to the “Account activation” tab and then clicking “Resend the activation link”.

How to register the account in the service?

To become a Traficar user, download the app to your Android, iOS or Huawei phone. Prepare your driving licence and payment card (Visa or MasterCard). In the registration process you have to complete six steps:

1. Create an account – provide your first name, last name, email address, phone number and a password that you will use to log in to the Traficar service.
2. Accept the terms and conditions of the service and, if you wish, marketing consents in order to enjoy promotions and discounts.
3. Click the activation link – the link will be sent to the email address you provided in step 1. If you don’t see the email with the link, check the “SPAM”, “Offers” and “Others” tabs. The link is valid for 24 hours after it has been sent by our system. You can generate an activation link again at traficar.com/activation/.
4. Fill in your personal details – provide your personal details, contact details and your driving licence number together with a photo of the first page of the document.
5. Verify your details with your bank account – it is important that the details you provide in the app are consistent with the details of the bank account holder.
6. Add a payment card – to pay for your current travels using the Traficar service. You may have more than one card linked to your account. Linking a payment card to your account is not synonymous with verifying your details in your bank.

We will let you know when your account is fully active.

Remember! If you do not add a payment card, your account may be activated but you will still not be able to rent a car! Adding a payment card is mandatory if you want to use our fleet.
