Why Traficar has collected PLN 10.00 for two kilometres?

Upon booking the “For as long as you want” offer, we block PLN 10 on your card. If your fee is less than 10 PLN, we will release the remaining amount. Though you may see the PLN 10 amount blocked for a few days, we will eventually charge you for the actual cost of the trip (the time it takes to release the blocked amount depends on your bank).

I don’t like the Traficar payment system, do I have an alternative?

If you do not want to pay for rental with your payment card and you conduct your own business activity, you can sign a contract with us for non-cash driving for you and possibly for your employees. Mail to biznes@traficar.pl, and our salesperson will prepare an offer for you.

Soon, we will enable crediting funds on Traficar account. You will be able to purchase crediting for PLN 50.00, 100.00 or 200.00, and payments for Traficar driving will decrease the sum of funds available on Traficar account.

Why are there a few card operations on my card with Traficar name although I made one booking?

If you have several card transactions on your card, it means that the cost of your rental has exceeded the first pre-authorisation fee, i.e. PLN 10 in the case of the “For as long as you want” offer and the equivalent of 1 daily fee in the “For 24h or more” offer. The card transactions during the rental period are blocked funds and not actual payment of the amount due. If the blocked amount (card transaction amount) exceeds the actual rental cost, the difference will be released and returned to your account. The time it takes to release the blocked amount depends on your bank’s policy and may be as long as 7 days.

How long will I wait for the unblocking of my funds on the card?

The order for the unblocking of your funds on your card will be sent by us to your bank promptly after terminating your rental, if the blocked amount is higher than the rental cost. It depends on your bank how fast your money will be unblocked on your card. It does not depend on us. The majority of banks release blockades within 2-3 business days; there are banks which do it within 10 minutes and others do it for 7 business days. Check in your bank for how long you will wait for releasing your blockade. Remember that pre-authorisation is the blockade of your funds on the card towards your rental – these funds are not sent to our account until booking is finished. These funds are still on your bank account.

How does funds blocking work at Traficar?

After clicking the BOOK press button (“For how long do you want” offer), we will block the amount of PLN 10.00 on your card towards booking (if you cancel your booking, we will return automatically the blocked funds to your account. Your bank may settle this return even for two business days).
If you click the BOOK FOR 24H “For 24h or longer” offer, we will block on your account the amount for the first 24 hours of rental – for passenger cars – PLN 59.00, for small commercial vehicles – PLN 90.00, for large commercial vehicles – PLN 159.00. (If you cancel your booking, we will return automatically the blocked funds to your account. Your bank may settle this return even for two business days)
Then, on a current basis, we will check what your drive cost is – we will check the booking time, parking time and the kilometres covered. If the booking cost is higher than the amount blocked in the first pre-authorisation, we will make another blocking of your funds on your card. The second blocking of your funds will be exactly the amount of the rental cost deducted with the amount blocked at the time of booking. During your rental, we can make a few or even several blockades on your card. The total blocked amount will not exceed the actual cost of your travel.
If we blocked more funds than the actual cost of your rental, we will return the balance to your card.

What does pre-authorisation mean?

Pre-authorisation is the blocking of funds on your payment card linked to the Traficar app. The pre-authorisation fee is charged upon booking a vehicle and is PLN 10 in the case of the “For as long as you want” offer and the equivalent of one day’s rental fee for the chosen vehicle in the case of the “For 24h or longer” offer. Pre-authorisation is not a fee, but a blocking of funds. Cancelling a rental booking releases the pre-authorisation amount on your account (note that this may take as many as seven business working days and is dependent on your bank). Once the blocked funds have been released, your card’s operations log will show no new incoming transfers, and the relevant amount will not appear in your statements. However, the balance on your account will increase. If you decide to rent a vehicle after booking, further pre-authorisations are charged on an ongoing basis.
