Traficar scooters should be ridden on cycle paths or a roadway suitable for this purpose. If only a pavement is available on your route, your speed should be adapted to the movement of pedestrians, and you are obliged to give way to them.
The driver of an electric scooter is obliged to use the cycle path or cycle lane, if it is designated for the direction in which they are travelling or intend to turn – with a permitted speed of 20 km/h. In addition, the driver is obliged to use the roadway on which vehicle traffic is allowed at a speed not exceeding 30 km/h, if there is no separate designated cycle path and cycle lane – with a permitted speed of 20 km/h. The driver may exceptionally use the pavement or the footpath, when the pavement is located along the roadway on which vehicle traffic is allowed at a speed exceeding 30 km/h and there is no separate designated cycle path and cycle lane – while observing the following rules: riding at a speed close to that of a pedestrian, exercising extreme caution, giving way to the pedestrians and not obstructing pedestrian traffic.
It is prohibited to:
– drive an electric scooter on a roadway where the speed limit is greater than 30 km/h,
– drive a scooter or a personal transporter in a state of intoxication or under the influence of alcohol or a substance having a similar effect to alcohol,
– transport other persons, animals or objects with the electric scooter and personal transporter,
